I had the chance to sit down and interview Monique Cahue one of my classmate for English class. Monique grew up in Oxnard and her parents had no problem with raising her and her sister. She liked to spend time with her family, even though her parents are divorced she has no problem visiting her mom. Since her sister lives with her mom and she lives with her dad. She is glad that she can have both of her parents to talk to and visit, they each have a room for her and her sister so that she can visit whenever she wants. Her biggest role model would have to be her grandmother; even though she passed away she taught her how to be the kind person she is today.
Monique is currently attending Oxnard College to improve all of her skills in learning, and plans to major in math. She is self-described as kind, helpful, and cheerful, which I believe because she had no problem helping me with the interview. She likes to manage her time so that she can do her homework, spend time with her boyfriend, and go to school. In five years she plans to transfer to a school where she can expand her skills at math. She is also interested in learning and getting acquainted with photography, as well as baking or culinary arts, which I also think is interesting.
She also likes to hang out with her friends and watch movies, and trying something new every day. Since she hardly has time to be with her sister, she enjoys the time they talk and convers ate with each other. Her first priority right now is school because she likes to stay focused on her goals. Monique likes to go by the motto; “It will all pay off in the future”. And finally, she is doing very well in school and hopes to keep doing better, by giving it 100%. It was a great opportunity to interview Monique to know a little about her and understand her goals.
Good interview Omar...I really like her motto.
